Gday guys

A few weeks back we had a regular come in to us with yet another car. From memory he has gone through 3 cars in the last 6 months (all imports if i remember correctly) Anyways he was after increasing the shine on the paint and removing the majoirty of swirls. It was pretty swirled up, but being a Japanese car, the paint was pretty soft so correcting it was pretty easy.

I didnt get any before pics due to not being able to get the camera to focus properly, sorry Sad

Process use:

Style Magic wash process
Vehicle Clay half with Built Hamber Clay bar and half with new clay bar (more information on this to come)
K & H wax and degreaser
Menzerna 106ff with a Green lake country foam pad (reving it to about 1500rmp, then jewelling it down)
Driven Auto Polish with a black lake country foam pad

Hope you like Smiley

We have been testing a new clay bar for a few months now, and are happy to say that it works wonders. Very easy to use and mold. These should become available to everyone soon, ill keep you posted.

I like these V35s, very similar to a 350Z in shape, but at least they have a back seat.
That colour looks awesome, and it really pops in the sun.

How much is this new clay bar, and how good is it?

Rob, what is the brand of clay your using? Im finding that the Bilt Hamber bar is a bitch to mold easy. Does this new bar have better molding properties? Let me know as I would like to try it.

hey shav yehh the bilt hamber bars can be a real pain to mold at the start. The bilt hamber one im currently using molds pretty easy, having said this it is getting on a bit.

The new clay bars (scuigare clay) are very easy to mold and work with...the have better molding properties then the bilt hamber bars. However i wouldn't say that they are as good as the bilt hamber bars in regards to longevity,  but they are half the price of the bilt hamber ones

I bought one of those clays out of desperation of needing one and never wanting to purchase clay magic/3M blue or red blocks and its not as good as the BH but with the right lubricant, it has some benefits over all others

Used it with Driven Quick spray with a capful of driven shampoo and 2 litres of water and its excellent considering the price.
Rubber band like consistency

This week's TIP - surface prep is everything
Dewax the paint then remove all the silicone off the paint before starting paint correction or non abrasive paint rejuvination.

Thanks Matt. Im just thinking of something with a bit more elasticity in it to mold the way I want. The BH ones are just too hard without getting a hammer out and bashing it into submission.
