I got a phone call from a mate on the weekend.  "Hey mate, I broke my foot playing basketball thursday night, and I'm trying to sell the VS, (shameless plug!) would you mind washing it for me?" With such a close mate in total peril, who am I to say no?  And since I was dyeing to find out how the free samples of the AutoGlym products went.

Process:
-Wash with AutoGlym Car Shampoo&Conditioner
-3M blue claybar, AutoGlym Shampoo as lubricant
-Under bonnet and wheels cleaned with Driven Multi (one glug to 8L of water)
-Meguires Hot Shine Tyre shine
-AutoGlym Glass Polish on windows
-AutoGlym Resin Polish (Left overnight before buffing off)

Before

After

Nice results Colin, good process used as well.

How long that take you in the end. Just curious in case I need some extra hands for detailing in the future? Smiley

I reckon it was about four hours on Monday (I had the day off work, and not including the time taken to stop and eat lunch) then half-three quarters of an hour Tuesday after work.  What's not mentioned up the top is the Driven Quick Detailer that was also used.  I've left the container and cloth with him so he can give it a quick once-over when people come and look at it too.

Early in the new year I'll need to have a chat to you about sealants and the like too - now he wants me to do their other car!

And it sold in 2 weeks for almost what he wanted for it!  The down side of that is now I've sentenced myself to doing a better job on his new ride, a late model Suby Outback.

Its amazing how much better a car sells if the paint looks as shmick as this. First impressions count and if the paint is spot on, it sets the bench mark high for the vehicle to be sold quickly.
